Melbourne

Hello again!

I am back in Melbourne, having arrived a little over a week ago. This is the first opportunity I've had to finally slow down a bit and write some updates. The weather is finicky as usual, blowy one moment, sunshiney the next, and I can't seem to keep my toes warm.

I've moved into a new apartment this year - save a few maintenance issues, it's really comfortable. I have a room to myself with lots of light, a cosy little jam space for the guitar and amp, a panoramic view of Fitzroy and a roomy workspace (I like having my work spread out in front of me).

One end of the room

View from the window - best I could do with limited manual settings

In other news, the Melbourne Uni Ultimate Frisbee recruitment went well. In fact, compared to Weightlifting & Powerlifting at the table next to us, we went very well indeed. It feels great playing a bigger role in the club this year - there is a sense of ownership and belonging to the club that really makes the time and effort invested worthwhile.

Finally, I got a tutoring position at uni. I had put Intermediate Financial Accounting as my first preference, but was refused that subject on grounds that I was too young to tutor a second year subject. Instead, I was offered a first year subject, Accounting Reports and Analysis, which I'm less confident with. Nonetheless, it will be a valuable experience and as good a time as any to get the basics right this time.

Next week marks the start of my final year at uni. I'm done thinking about the what-ifs and could-have-been-betters - I have only one goal this year.

Excel.

Updates and even photos to spice things up!

Here I am again, clinging desperately to the last two weeks of my holidays. Holidays are never quite as unfettered as I would like them to be - always this or that worry lurking in the background. This time, it's summer internship applications. Though I've barely begun with the process, I'm already going about it with an air of reluctance and defeat. Truly, if I'm to get anywhere in life, I really should change my outlook. But gawd, it's so bothersome. I much prefer a show, don't tell approach to job applications. I'll show you I can do the job and do it well, just don't make me persuade you beforehand to give me a chance.

Unfortunately, the real world doesn't work that way. :( But surely failing at the tell does not mean I'll fail at the show. I suppose one could argue that if my communication skills are at the level required by the job, I wouldn't have a problem; and if I did have a problem, I'm not good enough for the job. But is that so? Is that so?

Sigh.

Moving along, exams are over and results are out. I'm fairly happy with how I went, naturally, it can always be better, and I would have liked that 90+ I was hoping for in Accounting, so that I can finally say what I've been itching to say to Accounting - "WTFPWNED! Fuck yeah!". I can still say it with the result I got, but not with as much satisfaction. :P Business Finance was a minor disappointment, as expected, following a shoddy performance at the exam. Happily, I've just managed to maintain an overall H1 average. I'm getting complacent. To hell with all this scraping through business - I want to wtfpwn everything!

Except regionals. We didn't quite wtfpwn regionals like we should've. For the first time in 3, 4 years Melbourne Uni lost its gold streak at regionals, to Monash no less. It was a fair game, and there is not much more to say than in the end, they proved to be the better team. Nevertheless, with more training and some valuable female imports in Sem 2, I'm confident that we will fire out stronger in Gold Coast come September.

In other news, I attended a farewell dinner at Pugg Mahones for a friend who was going away for a month. It was a very good night, good food, live music and montage-worthy chatter round the table. When the performer dude played and sang Heart of Gold with a guitar and mounted harmonica, I thought my heart would weep with joy. He went on to play many good folksy/acousticky/country songs, which made me exceedingly happy.

Jimmy, who should be by now safely in Europe, and Bec, token American. (Despite the fact that the Americans almost outnumbered everyone else at the dinner :)

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my new-found love for Blizzard's sense of humour in WoW. I don't play the game and probably never will, but I've been introduced to many interesting and entertaining aspects of the game, including but not limited to raid group photos, video-recordings of raids, customised dance moves and the Southpark episode featuring WoW.

[EDIT: Upon recommendation, video link changed to something even more exciting. Such choreography and camera work...]

Finally, everyone say "Yay Alex!" for being so awesome.

Gmail's been down for over an hour now since I last tried to log in. I feel so displaced. I can't manoeuvre the internet without the reassuring presence of the Gmail window in the background! And my inbox! Gaaaaah. *refreshrefreshrefresh* It's not like Gmail to be down for more than a few minutes.

*fidgets*

So I came back to Aus a little over a week ago...

[Edit: Of course, just as I decide to blog about my misery, Gmail comes back on. Thank you. Now I can relax.]

It's been ridiculously hectic since uni started. I may be exaggerating only just a little bit. I've joined Honey, one of the women's frisbee teams, which turned out to be a fairly big commitment. Coupled with the FMAA workload, I'm starting to wonder if I can hold out till club season is over. I haven't even factored in uni work yet, but at times like these, I am thankful for the relatively slack Commerce course.

Nonetheless, it's good to be back. The first few days were deliciously languorous, spent in a little happy, silly, floaty bubble, unfettered by work and other less enjoyable things. I got a new Acer laptop, which came preloaded with Vista. Apart from some minor compatibility issues, for all my working purposes, it's very slick (and sleek).

I have nothing funny or interesting to say, so it's best that I quit while I'm ahead. Though whether I am actually ahead may be a matter of some dispute.

spring

Ah, spring! We've been enjoying warm, sunny weather here in Melbourne, and it makes me very happy indeed. Nothing significant has happened since I last blogged, besides a slight panicky scramble to finish assignments, but the worst is over now.

I went see a movie today at Cinema Nova (ex0 would remember it) with a friend. It's a small, arthousey cinema just down the road from where I live, with great retro decor and very cosy and generous seats. I love watching movies in a cinema where you can sit anywhere you like, where you show up 10 minutes before the show, walk straight up to the counter and buy tickets and share the big screen and surround sound with 4 other people on a Friday evening. It's such a far cry from the sweaty queues at GSC and the big impersonal theatres with noisy kids and annoying mobile phones. If only they had places like Cinema Nova back home.

In other news, 24 days left till the Australian Uni Games! It's being held in Adelaide this year, which everyone claims is an absolute hole. No doubt a week of ultimate will fix that right up. I'll be road-tripping there; it's an 8-hour drive in Susan's old Subi with Chuck and another guy. Times like these I really wish I had an MP3 player that can store more than 60 songs and does not trip and automatically shut down every 10 minutes. If anyone has a spare MP3 player, let me know?

Oh, did I mention that I took up salsa the start of this semester? It's great fun, only there are 3 guys and 17 girls so we have to take turns being male and female. It's confusing sometimes, but your coordination comes out the better for it. Also, it helps you gain a more thorough understanding of the dance, so no complaints, really. Initially I found myself more comfortable in the guy's role (why are we not surprised? =) but I think I've got over that now. I suspect it's because I usually start off being the 'guy' first when we're learning a new move, so it leaves a stronger impression.

Anyway, we hope that I will pick up some feminine grace in my movement (*snort*) at the end of this. The 'rents used to complain that I had a jaunty, clumsy gait that reminded them of elephants. Very forward, them parents. Of course, if I was really looking to pick up some grace, salsa's probably missing the mark a little compared to...say, ballet.

Well, we'll see what happens. I believe it's all in the clothes. After all, it's nearly impossible to trundle about when you're wearing a dress and heels, whereas trundling is synonymous with jeans and runners. For me, anyway.

On a last note, if you enjoy fingerpicking and country music like I do, check out Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel's album The Day Fingerpickers Took Over the World. Great stuff there. And if you're looking for a TV series to get into, Six Feet Under is very good. A more detailed review of that and more in the future...

pixfest

Having ranted so much about my apartment view, I figure its high time I let you guys see for yourselves. =)

The general Carlton neighbourhood.

Night time. Pretty lights.

I'm sorry about the hurriedly taken photos. No matter how long I charge those batteries, they're always low. At times like these, I always think back longingly about TP's old cam that I was so sorely tempted to buy. Is it still around, perchance?

And while we're at it, mmmrosenbaum.

of mushrooms and chinese spinach

I haven't shopped at an Asian grocery-market for so long I've forgotten how harrowing it was. Everything haphazard, swirling; people jostling, squeezing, pushing. It was a little overwhelming for my senses, having grown used to the tame, wide aisles of Safeway and its meandering shoppers.

And, as I found out today, everything at Safeway is still cheaper (and better quality). From now on, whatever I can get from Safeway, I'll get from Safeway. Though I'm hoping one day it'll start stocking dried prawn chilli, ladies' fingers, yam, every type of noodle, and maybe special kitchenware (i.e. the type only Chinese would find useful).

A word of advice, too. Fresh mushrooms, get them at Safeway. I had a nasty shock when I was dicing mushrooms for dinner just now. The ones that I'd bought from the Asian grocer looked fine but smelt positively toxic when sliced up. I got paranoid thinking of all the chemicals they must have been sprayed with and threw the evil-smelling ones out.

The block of frozen chinese spinach that I bought, however, provided some entertainment.

The packaging read:

Chinese Spinach
Ingredients: Chinese, spinach.

Too close, too close...

Omg I nearly forgot to pay my bills! I'm still reeling from the close-call-ness of the situation. Residents are given a 7 day grace period after the due date and today's the 5th day, just enough time for me to transfer money out from my ING account into my Commonwealth Bank account half an hour before the end of the business day, which means the money will be available tomorrow just in time to pay my rent. *takes deep breath*

It wasn't so much my forgetfulness than my inexperience with these matters. Note to self, always always read the fine print under Payment Obligations. I was sitting around waiting for an invoice from College Square, when in fact there would be no invoice. Just payment and receipt.

The same thing happened with my internet connection. Though I wasn't half as lucky. I only realized I hadn't paid my internet bill when they wouldn't let me sign on. I froze for a moment, gulped, hurried down to reception and paid the 40 bucks in cash. Unfortunately I'll have to wait till tomorrow when they reactivate my connection.

Aaaall this money. And I'll need to get a top-up for my handphone credit too. No matter, in a few days time I'll be getting the money from UniMelb. *gloats*

In other news, my tolerance levels for cold has gone off the charts. Apparently today was very chilly, but I was just fine in a tank top and a sleeveless knit-top. No one believed I wasn't freezing my nose off, but it's true! Not a shiver, not a sneeze! The crowning moment was I think during ultimate frisbee training lunchtime today, when it started raining (felt hard though, like half-melted hail) and we just kept on playing. It was exhilarating, though I was soaked after that and had to drip my way into Union House to dry off. Waited till the rain eased off a bit (but not completely) and cycled back. And strangely still, I wasn't cold. Just really wet.

I guess I've been eating the right stuff these days. =)

commonwealth games

Right at my doorstep! Andy (friend from uni) woke me up with a call this morning telling me the men's 40km marathon would soon be passing corner Grattan and Lygon St. In about 15 minutes we joined the throng of supporters lining both sides of the street and waited for the runners. Today's weather can only be described as sublime, and the sky, oh-so-blue. *happy sigh*

After about another 15 minutes the applause began and soon the leading police car drove into view. We joined in much cheering and clapping as the leading pack (a Tanzanian, South African and two Kenyans) ran past, and the crowd erupted when shortly after, the three yellow and green clad runners followed past. They looped back on the other side of the road, so we actually got to see the runners twice. A runner (country unknown) who knew he was out of medal contention started high-fiving the crowd as he ran past, but he was on the other side of the road, so no high-fiving for me. =) It was very fun, and he looked like he was having tons of fun! The crowd was quite enamoured by him I think. Understandably the leading pack were very focused, and too busy winning to respond much to the crowd.

I got back in time to watch the finish for the women's and men's at Melbourne Cricket Ground on TV. The reception was amazing! I'd go through years of blood and toil and gruelling training if only to have that kind of experience once in my life. The men's winner (the Tanzanian runner - I forgot his name) was beaming no end as he ran to the finish line, the entire stadium cheering for him. What an experience! It gives me goosebumps just watching it.

The women's winner was Aussie Karen McCann. The stadium went wild, she was crying, I was teary-eyed and gawd there's just nothing like the joy of winning in sports. It gets to everyone.

Now I'm really looking forward to the badminton semis and finals next weekend, hopefully we'll manage that 1-2 finish in the mens. That'd be awesome to watch. Unfortunately badminton isn't big in Aus so it doesn't get much broadcast time, and if it does, it'll prolly be the Aussie teams. It's at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre just down along Southbank so if anyone is interested in forking out a small sum of money to watch badminton tell me! Tickets for the finals are $25-$65 I think, and the semis $15 (?).

Also, how great are those Visa - Proud Supporter ads on TV? I love them! They're the ones that go "I can't do it aloooooo-ooo-oone...". I'm really impressed by the way they managed to capture the enthusiasm and support of the crowd and the unbridled joy of the atheletes so so well. Those ads give me chills everytime I watch them, and believe me, I've seen them many times.

Oh the Commonwealth Games!

Hello all.

I've just moved in into my apartment today, cleaned, unpacked and grocery-shopped. Lots of paperwork and forms to fill, but that can wait till after dinner, which I suspect will be pasta and cucumber because I don't have a frying pan yet. =)

It's all very exciting, staying on my own, but not before enduring a barrage of last-minute advice on how to cook, clean, interact socially and live my life in general from my parents. I can't say I wasn't oh so slightly relieved to see them leave. Anyway, more updates when I get a stable connection!

Hee, I love fresh starts. =)

Happy CNY everyone!

I am posting from the State Library, when I really should be somewhere else right now. But beggars can't be choosers. I have to take whatever intermittent net access I can get.

So I'll officially be moving into College Square on the 3rd Feb, in my twinshare apartment on the 8th floor. It's fantastic, great view, affordable, everything. I only know my roommate by name; my parents met her parents when College Square visited M'sia not too long ago and set me up with her since we were both looking for a roommate. It kinda feels like arranged marriage, hahaha! But from what I hear, I'm pretty confident we'll get along very well. Apparently, she even looks like Hui Lynn.

Oh and, just now, while waiting for my computer time slot, I went bargain hunting in a bookstore nearby. I'm so proud of myself, I found the complete works of Oscar Wilde for $9.95 which is a little less than RM 30. Tis awesome. Also my love for stationery made me buy a 'massively reduced' Dilbert 2006 calendar which is equally awesome. I couldn't resist! I'm feeling quite happy and satisfied now.

Right, I have to go, shoot off a coupla important mails before I rush down to Fitzroy Gardens for a lovely party-picnic thing to celebrate Rach's b'day which is not today. Bye all, miss you muchly.

Brief update

Sorry for the silence guys, I've been rather occupied these few days. Landed 3 days ago, feels like some time already. I think it's the weather. The first two days were almost unbearably hot in the afternoon unless you sat under the fan, stared into blank space and not move a muscle.

Today's pretty cool, but I suspect it's going to get up to 40+ degrees again tomorrow. I've been looking for accommodation, and I've made a list of possible places and will be house-hunting today. On foot and public transport. Aaugh.

Otherwise, I'm fine. Caught a cold (can you imagine catching a cold in 40+ degree temperatures???) but no, it's possible. I caught a cold when we went to the beach to ride over the hot day. I hadn't slept well since coming here, so I've been tired, headachy and a little stressed with the house-hunting stuff.

Uni enrolment went very smoothly. I can't wait to start, hahah, the subjects all look terribly interesting. I'm all set to work my ass off for uni, and hopefully I'll do good enough to earn an honours year in Finance cause it's really competitive and there are only 40 places available. I'm actually really looking forward to the work...I can do without the holidays already.

That's all for now. I caught up on my sleep and rest last night and am feeling much, much better. And, I'm going to see Brokeback Mountain in 2 days! ;-)

The Spectacle That Wasn't

Oh yes. So after the math exam about 6 of us boarders went up to McDs for lunch. We sat at a corner table, but were probably the most prominent group in the almost empty place, save a few elderlies. Some time after, these two Aussie girls came in. Looked about 14, wannabe bad-ass type. This theory was confirmed when they walked past us and one of them muttered, "Asian freaks." They must be idiot amateurs to pick a fight on a 6:2 ratio.

I wasn't too bothered. Had a similar encounter not too long ago with another pair of girls (who looked 12 and were 2 heads shorter than me) on the tram. Must be some growing fad. But that's another story. I only regret not extorting more money from them. So pre-pubescent, and still so much to learn from So You Wanna Be Bad-ass 101.

Anyway, the general reaction from us was mostly heated. Presently they walked past us again.

[transcript]

Boarder: (within earshot) Fuck you.
Bad-ass Girl 1: What did you say? *dirty looks all round*...Fuck YOU.
Bad-ass Girl 2: Yeah, go back to your own country.
Boarder: Oh yeah, why don't YOU go back to your own country? Go back to England!
Bad-ass Girl 1: *laughs derisively* This IS my country!

[/transcript]

So the comeback was a bit random. But by this time we were ready to attack. I'd have preferred to respond by digging my ear, flicking a nail at them and proceed to laugh at them. Or ignoring them, or any other way that'd have made them a joke. Why satisfy their attempt to cari pasal in the way they want you to?

Reaction from the elderlies -

Woman 1: *stares determinedly at her newspaper over her cup of coffee*
Man 1: *glares after them* Rude bitches. (at us apologetically) They're young. They don't know what they're doing.

We passed them by again at a tram stop as we were walking back. They happily bombarded us with rude comments and choruses of "Go back to China, freaks." I could've gone over and hit them right across, I was sorely tempted to, but decided in the end to help the half convince the other half of us not to do just that.

Kids these days.

Touchdown.

Arrived safely in Melbourne about 7.30am Aus time after a whole series of delays. Okay. Two delays. But still. ^^ AND, the quarantine people took my 3 in 1 Milo satchets away!!!! *waves goodbye to breakfast* They weren't allowed into Aus cause they contained skim milk Made in Malaysia, which is not a foot and mouth disease free country. Sigh. All these backwater ulu ulu places.

Otherwise, I was glad to be relieved of the rather uncomfortable and sleepless flight. Thanks guys for making my hols, they were an awesome two weeks. =) Before you know it, you'll be seeing me again. Hahahahah. (*groan* Yeah I know, must be terrible for y'all. =)

Anyhow, that's it for the time being. Gotta go study Chem now. Test in two days. Smashing.

DST

Hooray for Daylight Saving Time! Well, the end of it at least. Went to the Melbourne Arts Centre yesterday night with Rach, her mom, Connie and Aditi to watch a play called Cyrano de Bergerac. It was really good! So me and Aditi had a sleepover at Rach's house after that and naturally there wasn't much sleeping involved. =) We woke up this morning at 10+ am thinking we were late as Rach and her family had to leave for church by 10.30am.

After 5 minutes of groggy puzzling, we finally found out it was actually 9am cause it was the exact day that DST ended. Having only ever lost time, I was particularly happy at being able to 'gain' it this once. 25 hours in a day, woohoo!

Oh and before we went to watch the play, Aditi inflicted Dirty Dancing 2 upon us, under the warped logic that since she had to suffer through it, we must too. I wonder where she got that. And it didn't help either that the subtitles were in Thai so every time Diego Luna or his family started yammering away in Spanish, we ad-libbed for them, though the ad-libbing did seem to have a homosexual slant, but that's only because of Rachael. *glares* =)

I'm not writing this in chronological order again. That's why I keep failing my English commentaries. Ugh. Mrs. Pilling (my English teacher) won't be happy.

hail and hearty

It's spring now, but so cold it feels like the dead of winter. Occasionally. =) Worse still, it was hailing yesterday. I've never seen hail before...so I was duly excited, but yea, I still haven't seen it. Cause I thought those sudden bursts from the sky were rain and didn't bother to look closely.

That's Melbourne weather for you.

And also, big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Feebs, I know you've heard it from me many times already, but since I won't get to give you a present until I come back, this'll do for the time being. ^^

Later days!

Cold! *shivers*

What can I say? Routine flight to Aus, arrived safely in one piece, and this time, with extra baggage weight to spare. =) The flight was kinda scary. It was delayed for 45 minutes close to an hour cause of some engine problem. But it wasn't too bad. Read my Time from cover to cover, and when I was done we were ready for take off.

We climbed slower than usual, I felt, altitude-wise. Halfway through suddenly got this weird sounds that are not normal for an airplane, as far back as my flying experience goes. Then we started a somewhat undulating ascent, if an undulating plane is even possible. Actually, that word's a tad too mild. More like bouncing. A little unnerving, but it was all good.

Lousy in-flight entertainment system. There were no good shows on, unless I wanted to watch a German show called Olga, whose blurb was already one of the more interesting ones. Whereas the Melb-KL flights for July were showing Secret Window, The Prince and I etc etc newer movies.

I hung my little carry-bag on the coat hook in the seat in front of me, and hung my spectacles on the strap and went to sleep. 2 hours before landing, we were woken up for breakfast. For some strange reason, my bag was on the floor, and my glasses also on the floor, in two pieces. At least, I can only assume so, because up till now, I've only found one arm of it, attached to a jagged piece of lens. The other half/halves are probably somewhere under seat 22A to await some more fortuitous moment when...when...something happens lah.

As I was only limited to not more than 5 different seating positions in the economy class, trying to look for bits of specs on the floor was near impossible. I then proceeded to execute a series of complicated leg contortions, feeling about with my toes under the seat in front of me, and to some minor extent, under my own seat. I can only imagine what the poor, terrified stranger sitting next to me must have thought.

I found one part, as mentioned earlier, but that was all. Any hopes of supergluing my glasses back together for at least Term 3 flew out the window. I was beat, and growing increasingly grumpy because I couldn't see properly, and if there's anything that ticks me off no end it's not being able to have clear vision. To calm down, I began to meditate on the exact geographical coordinates of my spare pair of glasses back in the boarding house. That helped.

Landing, landing. Of all times, it has got to be when I finally get the window seat that I snap/lose my specs. Deprived of the bird's eye view of Aus. at night, I glared out the window at big orange and white spots of light, at the same time, willing the dizziness that was beginning to fester in my head to go away.

Airport was a mess of blurry vision, colours and sounds. Went to the long line of trolleys, dumped my laptop in the wire basket of one and tried futilely to drag it out of the line. Eventually some airport man worker came up to me and said that I had put my laptop in the wrong basket. Not the one I was trying to pull out, but the one further up front. Drat. Looks the same to me!!

Fumbled my way in semi-blindness to baggage reclaim. I wasn't even sure whether the conveyor belt I stood at was for the KL flights. Thank goodness fellow boarders from M'sia were turning up and I stuck with them. We split up at quarantine checks, and I was asked to go to counter 12 and pointed in a general direction. Squint squint squint. My eyes were exhausted with all this straining.

Finally reached the BH and conked on the bed. Slept my way through the Athletics Clinic that I was supposed to go to at 11am. Oh well. At least my spare specs are pretty good and I was offered red or white wine on the plane, hence implying that I look >18 years old. =D

Just another weekend.

Heh. Minnie (fellow boarder) and I went to Rachael's house last night, watched Kill Bill and had dinner in between. (I am actually much more happy and excited at this event than I may appear to be. =) It was really cool, her family's awesome...and Kill Bill turned out better than I thought it would be, y'know, the whole cheesy rhyming title and all. You almost half expect to hear Sock Jock and Die Guy next or something. But hey, see? I am finally dabbling in genres beyond the feel-good romantic comedies, speaking of which, is sorely lacking in good ones nowadays. And maybe cause I actually LIKE Uma Thurman...like in Paycheck and Gattaca. And Gattaca was a really good show, in my opinion.

Went to Box Hill today, just to look-see out of boredom. Was supposed to buy two great hulking bags of nougat back for my relatives, as requested by my mom, but eventually I decided they were too great and too hulking for me to carry home. Besides, packing light is my main priority this term break because I'll be in the city at some silly art exhibition organised as part of Theory of Knowledge week three hours before my plane takes off. Long and unfortunate story. Sigh. But I did buy my first article of clothing since I came here. (The two dollar scarf doesn't count =) A pair of smart-casual black slacks that I've been looking for for AGES. I was awfully glad I finally found what I wanted.

Anyhow guys, know you're somewhere in the quagmire of exams now, don't get too stressed...and as usual, all the best! =)

Reflections.

Wow, strangely, it didn't feel all that long since I last blogged, but the date on the previous post speaks otherwise. What's that mean now huh? That time is actually passing quicker than I thought it would be? That's a good thing I suppose, the sooner time passes, the sooner I'll be home.

Just came back from dinner at a Malaysian restaurant coupla tram stops up. Really satisfying to have good food once in a while. =) I love the Melbourne weather, especially in autumn, especially at night. Most nights, the sky is beautifully clear. All I recognize is Orion, but that doesn't matter. The moon hung exceptionally bright today. The air is crisp and chilly, and if I stay out long enough my nose turns cold, my cheeks turn cold. I kinda like the feeling of that. More so if I'm taking a nice, quiet walk, wrapped up in a scarf and my thoughts. It has been raining quite a bit, midnight right through to morning, evening, anytime. But it's all right in the rooms, and the heater's on so it's pretty comfy. Nights like these, they're just begging for someone to come out for a walk. Most times, that someone is me. Of course, it'd be nicer if I didn't have to go walking with girls all the time. Hahahah... =)

Either way, it's beautiful. It's all good. Australia's a beautiful place...and y'know what'd be cool? It's barely feasible of course, but it doesn't hurt to think about it...It'd be fun I reckon, a road trip with the gang along the Great Ocean Road. =)
